Each resource has a different scope of what it covers, and its own strengths and weaknesses. If you don't find what you need right away - don't give up! One major piece of advice is to modify your search terms if you're hitting a wall; there may or may not be data available on "hair dryers" or "ice cream makers" specifically. Try varying levels of specificity, e.g., "small appliances," "household appliances," or "kitchen appliances." If you are researching a broader industry, identifying the NAICS code can be helpful for searching as well, for example, NAICS Code 335210 is Small Electrical Appliance Manufacturing. Larger industry reports can provide helpful background and orient you to your given market/industry.
