This guide is here to help you identify resources available through the Horn Library that will help with the BETA-X Integrated Learning Project.

Please READ THE DESCRIPTIONS below each database link for details on what you will find there for this project (there is A LOT more content available on other topics as well!). If you don't find what you need right away - DON'T GIVE UP! Ask for help! Each resource has a different scope of what it covers, and its own strengths and weaknesses.

What's in Euromonitor? Find statistics and analysis for Skin Care, Oral Care and Vision Care in US and International markets (most major countries covered, but not all). Data available includes retail sales RSP, sales by product category, value growth, brand & company share by category, forecasts and trend information.
Having trouble finding what you need? The search interface in Euromonitor is not the most user-friendly, so please do not hesitate to ask for help if you aren't finding what you need!
Note: search for "Contact Lenses and Solutions" or "Eye Care" to find information the Vision Care market.

What's in Mintel Reports? Find information on market size, brands and companies, with a focus on consumer behaviors and motivations with reports covering Oral Health, Eyeglasses and Contact Lenses, and Skin care (specifically Medicated Skincare, Skin Protection, Facial Skincare and Anti-Aging and Skincare Ingredient and Format Trends) for US markets.
Having trouble finding what you need? Mintel has a pretty user friendly interface, but if you can't find what you need in a report try the "Search this report" feature to search by keyword or ask for help!

What's in Statista? Statista does their own market research but also compiles data from reputable sources covering over 600 international industries. Search by brand/company name or by topic. Use the Publication Finder tool to find reports on your topic, or just search for quick access to data. Filter your search results by region or country.

What's in IBISWorld? Find high level market research for US industries (limited coverage in China and Global) including information on market size, market share, performance, outlooks, competitive landscape, operating conditions and key financial benchmarks & ratios. Search by keyword or company/brand name.

What's in BCC Research? Find lengthy reports with a global focus on more technical topics in BCC. For this assignment, relevant reports include: "Global Forecast for Other oral hygiene products, incl. dental floss, etc. (2020-2025 Outlook)-Manufacturing & Markets Report" and "Contact Lenses: Technologies and Global Markets".
