Interlibrary Loan

Horn Library - Interlibrary Loan

Retrieving Articles

  • Log in to ILLiad.
  • Click Download Your Articles under the View heading.
  • Click the PDF icon to download the article.

The best practice, with articles, is to download or print the article as soon as you receive the notification that it is available. Articles are only available for a limited number of views within a 30 day period.

Retrieving Books

Books can be picked up (and returned) at the Information Desk in Horn Library.

Please let the staff member know that you are picking up an Interlibrary Loan book and give them your last name. Your book must be checked out at the desk by the staff member when you pick it up.

Make sure to note the due date on the slip in the book.

Due Dates

Articles: Articles do not need to be returned. They are available electronically for 30 days; then they are deleted from the system. If you need the article again after that time, you will need to submit another request.

Books: Due dates for books vary depending on the policies of the lending library. The due date is printed on the slip in the book. If you lose the slip, you can always check the due date online. You can do this in two different places:

  • Option 1: Log in to your ILLiad account
    • Click View Your Items in the left hand menu.
    • See the Due Date in that column on the table.
  • Option 2: Log in to your Primo account
    • Click Sign In on the top of the page.
    • Use the drop-down menu to select My Loans.
    • See the Due Date for each item checked out in your account. This will include items checked out through both ILL and Horn Library.
