Lending Period and Renewals:
Standard Loan Period: 12 weeks
Renewal Period: 4 weeks
Some materials may have non-standard loan periods (e.g., Graphic Novels, books from our New Books collection, etc.).
Non-Circulating Materials:
Materials from the following collections do not circulate outside of Horn Library: Babson College Archives, A/V materials, entire eBooks, newspapers, periodicals, reference materials, and reserve materials. Recent acquisitions (i.e., books from our New Books collection) may be available on a limited basis.
Fees for Interlibrary Loan:
There is no charge for LYRASIS reciprocal code signers, LVIS, LYRA, SIXX, and libraries that do not charge us.
We charge $20.00 per article/scan or physical loan for non-lending and "for profit" institutions.
Delivery Methods:
Electronic items (copies) are delivered via Odyssey and Article Exchange. Books (loans) are delivered via USPS. Massachusetts Library System (MLS) members will receive books through MLS Delivery/Optima, unless the request indicates otherwise.
Lost or Damaged Items:
Borrowing libraries are responsible for damage, loss, and replacement fees for materials loaned by Horn Library. Please email us at interlibraryloan@babson.edu to request an invoice. We accept lost or damaged item fees via check. We are also willing to accept a replacement copy for a lost or damaged item, as long as the replacement is in like-new condition (e.g., unmarked) and is the same year or edition as the original copy. Please contact us in advance if you wish to pursue this option.
