Library Services for Babson Faculty: Course Instructional Support

Course Instructional Support

The library staff are here to work with you preparing for and teaching your courses whether in person, blended or online.

Research and Instruction Librarians provide support for your courses through:

  • In class sessions to teach efficient and effective research process
  • Research instruction sessions outside of class time with students
  • In person and/or online individual or group meetings with students
  • Video tutorials on research skills for students
  • Research guides tailored to topics or assignments.

Help Us Help Your Students

Often students are not aware of the assistance the Instruction Librarians can offer with their coursework.  You can help link up your students with the Horn Library Instruction Librarians:

  • Add your Liaison Librarian as Librarian in your Canvas courses, provide the librarian's contact information or link to Horn Library in your course LMS (Canvas) site to direct students' research questions directly to a librarian, saving you time.
  • Add language to your course syllabus pointing students to the library.  For example, "The Horn Library Research Librarians are available to assist students at all stages of the research process. From exploring a topic, company or industry; identifying the available resources for your assignment, and the most effective search strategies, they’re here to help you become a confident, competent researcher. For more information, please visit their website."
  • Link to relevant subject or course guides directly from the course LMS (Canvas) site.  Contact your Liaison Librarian to talk about which guides best match up with your course.
