Massachusetts public library members can connect to all the Massachusetts networks in Libby (see instructions and screenshots below). The nearest local library network, Minuteman Library Network, allows anyone who lives, works, or studies in Massachusetts to obtain a library card; out-of-state students can apply through the Wellesley Free Library. To add libraries/library networks to your account in Libby, complete the following steps (see screenshots below):

  1. Tap on the main "Menu" icon (the three horizontal lines or "hamburger" icon).
  2. Tap "Add library" and search for the desired network by name (see below for list of networks).
  3. Select the desired network and tap "Sign in with my card."
  4. Select your home network under "Partner Libraries."
  5. Enter your home library card number and PIN.

You will have to complete this process separately for each network for initial set up, but then all the networks should appear as options every time you are signed in. To see which libraries have an item available and how long any wait times may be, you can switch between the networks by tapping the icon of the library card that appears in an item record (see screenshots below).

The available Massachusetts networks are:

  • Boston Public Library
  • CLAMS (Cape Libraries Automated Materials Sharing)
  • CW MARS (Central-Western Massachusetts Automated Resource Sharing)
  • Merrimack Valley Library Consortium
  • Minuteman Library Network
  • NOBLE: North of Boston Library Exchange
  • Old Colony Library Network
  • SAILS Library Network (Southeastern Automated Integrated Library Services)

And don't forget to add Babson!
