Cabell's divides journal titles into two categories, each under either The Journal Whitelist or The Journal Blacklist. Over 11,000 Whitelisted journals are indexed in Cabell's, while the number of Blacklisted journals vary from year to year. Blacklisted journals are generally considered to have suspicious publication practices which may or may not indicate predatory activity. Cabell's explains their criteria for inclusion on their lists.
