Where to Begin

Market Research Library:  Find a Country Commercial Guide (CCG) for your country by choosing a country from the drop menu.  These reports provide an overview of doing business in a country from the point of view of US trade.  Reports include trade contact leads, data, helpful tips.  See another version of the CCG by looking on Stat-USA.  Open Stat-USA, choose Globus & NTDB, and look in the right column under Market and Country Reports. 

Country Commerce Annual with updates. EIU - cover general operating environment, organizing an investment, incentives, licensing, competition and price policies, exchanging and remitting funds, corporate and personal taxes, capital sources, human resources, and foreign trade.

Country Finance Annual with updates. EIU. - review currency outlook, foreign exchange regulations, monetary system, banks and other financial institutions, short-, medium- and long-term financing techniques, equity financing, investment incentives, cash management, short-term investment instruments, trade financing and insurance, and tax considerations.

Dun's Exporters' Encyclopaedia. HF3011.E9 (Information Desk 1) - arranged by country, this annual resource has key contact information, an overview of trade regulations, documentation requirements, foreign investment info, consumer protection, product standards, regulations & requirements, marketing info, labeling & packaging, intellectual property rights, and transportation information.
