These tips apply to the PsycINFO database alone
The database opens with the Basic Search screen. Here you can do a keyword search in the following fields:
The Basic Index searches the index terms from the abstract, major and minor descriptors, key phrase, titles, and table of contents.
Too many results? Using the Advanced search tab, make selections using the More Search Options tab towards the bottom of the page. This will allow you to select population groups, age groups, language and descriptors. Use the Browse Identifiers (or major descriptors, etc.) to further refine your search.
