Getting Started

Capital IQ provides public financial statement data for US and internatonal public companies in  an easy to access and download format.  Their Comp Set template for Company Comparables is easy to adjust and use.

Factset Data Systems is available for BCF class members and combines financials, estimates, company screening and updated portfolio analysis in a conveniently integrated application.  During the setup process, Factset will send a link to download desktop access and set up your login credentials. If you have access issues or further questions please reach out to Leslie Romiza at ext. 5115. 

For those interested in further training, FactSet offers a free FactSet Essentials Certification program. 

FactSet Essential Certification: The program includes courses on Core Products, Portfolio Analysis, Productivity Suite, Derivative Products, and Universal Screening.

To get started, visit Learn-beta.factset.com and follow the instructions below:

  1. As a first-time user, navigate to the “Sign Up” section on the homepage.
  2. Enter the following access code: factset_learning_2020
  3. Input your name and student email address.
  4. Create a password for your account
  5. Upon successful completion, you will receive an email with a verifiable LinkedIn badge and PDF certificate

Bloomberg is available in the Cutler Center and in the Babson College Fund suite for BCF members, which is accessible to you with your Babson OneCard.  You can download financial analysis and comparables data for your company or open it using the Bloomberg Excel link.
