Checkouts & Returns

Use your Babson One Card to check out materials. Your LIB number on your One Card is your ID number for the SIRSI Unicorn library system. An individual Personal Identification Number (PIN) can be used to check your library account. Stop at the Information Desk to get your PIN.

View Your Account / Renew Items

How Do I Log In To My Account?

From within the Library Catalog, click the My Account link in the top navigation menu. Enter your Library ID (found on your Babson OneCard) and PIN, and click "List Charged Items".

How Do I Renew My Books?

To Renew your items, log in to "My Account" using your Library ID and PIN. Click on "Renew My Items", select the books you'd like to renew, and click "Renew Selected Items".

Alternately, you can call us at 781-239-4596 to renew by phone, or email library@babson.edu to renew by email.

Please note, most items have a limit of 2 renewals.

    Overdue Fines

Books (non reserve books) and audiocassettes   $0.25 per day
    Videocassettes $2.50 per day
    Reserve materials $1.00 per hour

Please return Reserve Materials before the two-hour deadline. Reserve materials do not leave the library. Be attentive; we need to keep reserve materials available, especially before exams, project deadlines, etc. For overdue materials, three overdue notices are sent. The Accounting Office will then bill you for replacement. The maximum fine for most overdue items is $25.00. Replacement charges for lost or damaged items depend upon the item's price plus an additional processing fee.

    Obtaining a Library Card

You can obtain a library card by registering at the Information Desk and paying the appropriate administrative fee. Please make checks payable to Babson College.
