    Look for the Annual Report to Stockholders - a "marketing" document often with photos of products and financial statements. The most critical piece is the President's Letter, an executive summary of achievements and strategy.
 

Company Web Sites

Company web sites generally offer the corporate records you need to consult and often provide information about strategic initiatives. Particularly, look for the Investors Relations section of the company web site. Use LexisNexis Company Dossier  to locate the company's site.
